I was brought up hand milking cows with horns so it comes naturally. My family ran an outdoor holiday business on our croft in Lochaber and we kept a herd of Welsh Black cattle.

We’re a bit obsessed with Stinging Nettles (Utrica dioica) – they have been used all over the world for centuries, as a source of food, herbal remedies, dyes and even textile fibres.

We have a small fold of Highland Cattle free to forage on the herb rich pasture which grows naturally here at Achinreir Farm. We choose cows with a kind gentle nature and we enjoy accommodating their individual quirks and needs.

Our Farm is a small Argyll hill farm situated between two lochs on a hillside in the beautiful area of North Lorn.
